The first “Voice of Belgrade” ended on Sunday, 25th of April 2010 in the Grand Hall of the Student Cultural Centre in Belgrade  
The first choir festival “The Voice of Belgrade” successfully ended on Sunday, 25th of April, 2010 with award ceremony and the concert in the Great Hall of the Student Cultural Centre. Eleven choirs from Belgrade, Zrenjanin, Nis and Bijeljina participated in the first year of this festival.

Eight choirs competed, in categories of chamber and mixed choirs. Three choirs performed within the non-competition part of the festival program.  
The choir “Srbadija“ and the chamber choir of the Academy of Arts  “Slobomir P“ from Bijeljina opened the Festival on Friday in the gallery “Progress”, whereas the choir of the Music School “Stevan Mokranjac” from the town of Pozarevac performed on the Grand Night, whose striking and impressive performance closed the Festival.    

Awarded choirs 2010

The Jury, chaired by Ms Tamara Petijevic, awarded the participants in several categories:
1. for best complete program performance: the choir “Belcanto” from Belgrade
2. for best premiere performance of the composition “Serbia”  of the professor MA Vera Milankovic the following choirs were awarded:
- in chamber choir category: male choir “Saint Seraphime Sarovski” from Zrenjanin,
- in mixed choirs category: the church choir  “Saint Alexander Nevsky“ from Belgrade.
3.The choir “Vox slavicum” from Belgrade won the award for best performance of spiritual composition.  
4. The following choirs were awarded for best performance of sacral composition:
- in chamber choir category: choir “Saint Seraphime Sarovski” from Zrenjanin,
- in mixed choirs category: choir “Josif Marinkovic“ from Zrenjanin
5. The male quartet “Forte” from Nis was awarded for best performance of the evergreen composition.
6. The church choir “Vidik” from Belgrade was awarded for best performance of interpretation of Russian folk composition. 
7. The choir “Ars Divina” from Belgrade was awarded for best madrigal performance

On the Grand Night, held in the Student Cultural Centre Belgrade, three awarded choirs performed - the choir “Belcanto” from Belgrade, the male quartet “Forte” from Nis, the choir “Saint Alexander Nevsky” from Belgrade and the choir of MS “Stevan Mokranjac“ from Pozarevac.  

The first choir festival, “The Voice of Belgrade”, was organized by long-term fans of choral music and choral singers of the male choir “Seraphime” and the creative team of the marketing agency “Simone Creative Studio“ from Belgrade.

Great interest and support given by professional music public, especially by maestro Bojan Sudjic and professor Darinka Matic Marovic, and the audience interest during a few days of competition proved that Belgrade needed the first and real choral music festival.
